These ET3 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of ET3 in biological samples. ET3 is an alias name of the human EDN3 gene, which encodes the protein, endothelin 3. Notably, ET3 is known to play a role in axon guidance and cell proliferation, among other functions. The EDN3 protein is 238 amino acid residues in length and 25.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 3 protein isoforms have been identified. It is known to be a secreted protein. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in trophoblasts and placental stem villi vessels, but not in cultured placental smooth muscle cells. Other names for this target antigen include ET-3.
