BPI ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein bactericidal permeability increasing protein, which is encoded by the BPI gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides and innate immune responses. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 487 residues, a mass of 53.9 kDa, and is a member of the BPI/LBP protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is secreted. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include rBPI, BPI fold containing family D, member 1, CAP 57, recombinant BPI holoprotein, rBPI, and BPIFD1.
Some BPI ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 1.56 pg/mL and as high as 150 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
