HPS1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein HPS1 biogenesis of lysosomal organelles complex 3 subunit 1, which is encoded by the HPS1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the BLOC-3 complex, a complex that acts as a guanine exchange factor (GEF) for RAB32 and RAB38, promotes the exchange of GDP to GTP, converting them from an inactive GDP-bound form into an active GTP-bound form. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 700 residues and a mass of 79.3 kDa. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The HPS1 gene has been associated with the disease, Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome. Other alias names for this target include HPS, BLOC-3 complex member HPS1, Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome 1 protein, and BLOC3S1.
The detection range for different HPS1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
