RAD51D ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein RAD51 paralog D, which is encoded by the RAD51D gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be involved in homologous recombination repair (HRR) pathway of double-stranded DNA breaks arising during DNA replication or induced by DNA-damaging agents. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 328 residues, a mass of 35 kDa, and is a member of the RecA protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in colon, prostate, spleen, testis, ovary, thymus and small intestine. As many as 8 protein isoforms have been reported. The RAD51D gene has been associated with the disease, Breast-ovarian cancer.
