These Basigin ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Basigin in biological samples. Basigin is an alias of the human BSG gene, which encodes the protein, basigin (Ok blood group). Notably, Basigin is known to play a role in angiogenesis and receptor-mediated signaling pathways, among other functions. The BSG protein is 385 amino acid residues in length and 42.2 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 4 protein isoforms have been identified. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to have [isoform 1]: retina-specific expression. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include 5F7, CD147, and EMMPRIN.
Some Basigin ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.625 pg/mL and as high as 200 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
