ADARB1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein adenosine deaminase RNA specific B1, which is encoded by the ADARB1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the hydrolytic deamination of adenosine to inosine in double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) referred to as A-to-I RNA editing. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 741 residues and a mass of 80.8 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and heart and at lower levels in placenta. As many as 6 protein isoforms have been reported. The ADARB1 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurodevelopmental disorder with hypotonia, microcephaly, and seizures. Other alias names for this target include DRABA2, DRADA2, NEDHYMS, RED1, double-stranded RNA-specific editase 1, and ADAR2.
Some ADARB1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
