VCX2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein variable charge X-linked 2, which is encoded by the VCX2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to mediate a process in spermatogenesis or may play a role in sex ratio distortion. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 139 residues, a mass of 14.7 kDa, and is a member of the VCX/VCY protein family. It is found to be preferentially expressed in testis. Other alias names for this target include VCX2R, VCXB, variable charge X-linked protein 2, variable charge protein on X with two repeats, variably charged protein X-B, and VCX-2r.
