These ECMR-III ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of ECMR-III in biological samples. ECMR-III is an alias of the human CD44 gene, which encodes the protein, CD44 molecule (Indian blood group). Notably, ECMR-III is known to play a role in cartilage development and cell adhesion, among other functions. The CD44 protein is 742 amino acid residues in length and 81.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 19 protein isoforms have been identified. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed in fibroblasts and urine. This protein is known to be O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated, cleaved, sulfated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include CDW44, CSPG8, and ECM-III. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
