These HDL ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of HDL in biological samples. HDL is an alias of the human HSD11B1 gene, which encodes the protein, hydroxysteroid 11-beta dehydrogenase 1. Notably, HDL is known to play a role in lung development, among other functions. The HSD11B1 protein is described to be 292 amino acid residues in length and 32.4 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be widely expressed, highest expression in liver, lower in testis, ovary, lung, foreskin fibroblasts, and much lower in kidney. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include 11-DH, 11-beta-HSD1, and CORTRD2.
There are HDL ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 125 pg/mL and as high as 400 µg/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
