OSCAR ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein osteoclast associated Ig-like receptor, which is encoded by the OSCAR gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported regulator of osteoclastogenesis which plays an important bone-specific function in osteoclast differentiation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 282 residues, a mass of 30.5 kDa, and is a member of the Leukocyte receptor complex/polymeric immunoglobulin receptor (PIR/LRC) protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted. As many as 7 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include osteoclast associated receptor OSCAR-S1, osteoclast associated receptor OSCAR-S2, osteoclast associated, immunoglobulin-like receptor, and osteoclast-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor.
The detection range for different OSCAR ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 20 ng/L and as high as 900 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
