KRT28 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein keratin 28, which is encoded by the KRT28 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be important for the proper assembly of types I and II keratin protein complexes and the formation of keratin intermediate filaments in the inner root sheath (irs). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 464 residues, a mass of 50.6 kDa, and is a member of the Intermediate filament protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is reported to be highly expressed in skin and scalp, and weak expression observed in thymus.
