APLN ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein apelin, which is encoded by the APLN gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in angiogenesis and immune response pathways. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 77 residues, a mass of 8.6 kDa, and is a member of the Apelin protein family. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be expressed in the brain with highest levels in the frontal cortex, thalamus, hypothalamus and midbrain. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved. Other alias names for this target include XNPEP2, AGTRL1 ligand, APJ endogenous ligand, and APEL.
Some APLN ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 5 pg/mL and as high as 2000 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
