ANG ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein angiogenin, which is encoded by the ANG gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported ribonuclease that cleaves tRNA within anticodon loops to produce tRNA-derived stress-induced fragments (tiRNAs) which inhibit protein synthesis and triggers the assembly of stress granules (SGs). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 147 residues, a mass of 16.6 kDa, and is a member of the Pancreatic ribonuclease protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and is secreted and is reported to be highly expressed in the liver. The ANG gene has been associated with the disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Other alias names for this target include HEL168, RAA1, RNASE4, RNASE5, RNase 5, and ALS9.
There are ANG ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 1.5 pg/mL and as high as 2000 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
