Structurally, the FGR protein is described to be 529 amino acid residues in length and 59.5 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the cell membrane, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed in neutrophils, monocytes and natural killer cells. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated and phosphorylated.
