B4GALT1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein beta-1,4-galactosyltransferase 1, which is encoded by the B4GALT1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and extracellular matrix organization. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 398 residues, a mass of 43.9 kDa, and is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 7 protein family. It is known to be localized in the golgi and cell membrane and is found to be widely expressed, but at very low levels in fetal and adult brain. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved and glycosylated. The B4GALT1 gene has been associated with the disease, Congenital disorder of glycosylation. Other alias names for this target include GGTB2, GT1, GTB, beta4Gal-T1, N-acetyllactosamine synthase, and CDG2D.
There are B4GALT1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 20 ng/L and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
