KLB ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein klotho beta, which is encoded by the KLB gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is said to contribute to the transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP7A1), the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1044 residues, a mass of 119.8 kDa, and is a member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include b-Klotho, betaKlotho, klotho beta like, klotho beta-like protein, and beta-klotho.
There are KLB ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 2.74 pg/mL and as high as 500 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
