These HPA ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of HPA in biological samples. HPA is an alias of the human HPSE gene, which encodes the protein, heparanase. Notably, HPA is known to play a role in cell matrix adhesion and inflammatory response pathways, among other functions. The HPSE protein is 543 amino acid residues in length and 61.1 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 4 protein isoforms have been identified. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, lysosomes, membrane, and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be highly expressed in placenta and spleen and weakly expressed in lymph node, thymus, peripheral blood leukocytes, bone marrow, endothelial cells, fetal liver and tumor tissues. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated and cleaved. Other names for this target antigen include HPA1.
The detection range for different HPA ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
