GALNT3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 3, which is encoded by the GALNT3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the initial reaction in O-linked oligosaccharide biosynthesis, the transfer of an N-acetyl-D-galactosamine residue to a serine or threonine residue on the protein receptor. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 633 residues, a mass of 72.6 kDa, and is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 2 protein family. It is known to be localized in the golgi and is reported to be expressed in organs that contain secretory epithelial glands. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The GALNT3 gene has been associated with the disease, Tumoral calcinosis. Other alias names for this target include HFTC, HFTC1, HHS, GalNAc transferase 3, and GalNAc-T3.
Some GALNT3 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
