BLK ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein BLK proto-oncogene, Src family tyrosine kinase, which is encoded by the BLK gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a type of non-receptor tyrosine kinase involved in B-lymphocyte development, differentiation and signaling (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 505 residues, a mass of 57.7 kDa, and is a member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in lymphatic organs, pancreatic islets, Leydig cells, striate ducts of salivary glands and hair follicles. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. The BLK gene has been associated with the disease, Maturity-onset diabetes of the young. Other alias names for this target include tyrosine-protein kinase Blk, B lymphoid tyrosine kinase, BLK nonreceptor tyrosine kinase, b lymphocyte kinase, p55-Blk, and MODY11.
The detection range for different BLK ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
