BLOC1S6 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein biogenesis of lysosomal organelles complex 1 subunit 6, which is encoded by the BLOC1S6 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the BLOC-1 complex, a complex that is required for normal biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles (LRO), such as platelet dense granules and melanosomes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 172 residues, a mass of 19.7 kDa, and is a member of the BLOC1S6 protein family. It is known to be localized in the membrane and cytoplasm and is widely expressed across many tissue types. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. The BLOC1S6 gene has been associated with the disease, Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome. Other alias names for this target include HPS9, PA, PALLID, PLDN, biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex 1 subunit 6, and BLOS6.
Some Bloc1s6 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
