ASXL1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ASXL transcriptional regulator 1, which is encoded by the ASXL1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a suspected Polycomb group (PcG) protein involved in transcriptional regulation mediated by ligand-bound nuclear hormone receptors, such as retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1541 residues, a mass of 165.4 kDa, and is a member of the Asx protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is found to be widely expressed at low level. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally methylated and ubiquitinated. The ASXL1 gene has been associated with the disease, Bohring-Opitz syndrome.
