COL8A1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein collagen type VIII alpha 1 chain, which is encoded by the COL8A1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a macromolecular component of the subendothelium. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 744 residues and a mass of 73.4 kDa. It is known to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted and is notably expressed in the subendothelium of large blood vessels. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved. Other alias names for this target include collagen alpha-1(VIII) chain, cell proliferation-inducing protein 41, collagen VIII, alpha-1 polypeptide, collagen, type VIII, alpha 1, and C3orf7.
Some COL8A1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 31.25 pg/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
