ADAMTS2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 2, which is encoded by the ADAMTS2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in extracellular matrix organization and lung development. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 1211 residues and a mass of 134.8 kDa. It is known to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted and is notably expressed at high level in skin, bone, tendon and aorta and at low levels in thymus and brain. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated and cleaved. The ADAMTS2 gene has been associated with the disease, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Other alias names for this target include EDSDERMS, NPI, PC I-NP, PCI-NP, PCINP, PCPNI, PNPI, and ADAMTS-3.
The detection range for different ADAMTS2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 400 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
