MYC ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein MYC proto-oncogene, bHLH transcription factor, which is encoded by the MYC gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a transcription factor that binds DNA in a non-specific manner, yet also specifically recognizes the core sequence 5'-CAC[GA]TG-3'. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 454 residues and a mass of 50.6 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. The MYC gene has been associated with the disease, Burkitt lymphoma. Other alias names for this target include MYCC, bHLHe39, c-Myc, myc proto-oncogene protein, avian myelocytomatosis viral oncogene homolog, and MRTL.
There are MYC ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 150 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
