Anti-UNC50 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein unc-50 inner nuclear membrane RNA binding protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 259 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and Golgi. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Unc-50 protein family, UNC50 is reported to be involved in cell surface expression of neuronal nicotinic receptors (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include HSD23, PDLs22, UNCL, URP, protein unc-50 homolog, and GMH1. UNC50 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the UNC50 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
