Anti-LY6G5B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein lymphocyte antigen 6 family member G5B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 201 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.6 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, lymph node, and bone marrow. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus protein G5b and lymphocyte antigen 6 complex, locus G5B. LY6G5B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the LY6G5B antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
