Anti-CCL28 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein C-C motif chemokine ligand 28. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 127 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.3 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. A member of the Intercrine beta (chemokine CC) protein family, CCL28 is known to be involved with chemotaxis and immune response pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CC chemokine CCL28, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 28, mucosae-associated epithelial chemokine, small inducible cytokine A28, and C-C motif chemokine 28. CCL28 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of CCL28 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
