Anti-ENKD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein enkurin domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 346 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus, tonsil, and adrenal gland. ENKD1 is reported to be a microtubule-binding protein, which regulates microtubule organization and stability. Synonyms for this target antigen include enkurin domain-containing protein 1. ENKD1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ENKD1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
