Anti-Synaptobrevin 2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Synaptobrevin 2 is a known alias name of the protein vesicle associated membrane protein 2, encoded by the VAMP2 gene in humans. This 116-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in targeting and/or fusion of transport vesicles to their target membrane (By similarity). It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for Synaptobrevin 2 include NEDHAHM, SYB2, and synaptobrevin 2. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Synaptobrevin 2 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
