Anti-IFIT3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein interferon induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 490 amino acid residues and a mass of 56 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the IFIT protein family, IFIT3 is known to be involved with innate immune responses. The IFIT3 marker can be used to identify Effector Memory CD45RA CD8 T Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include GARG-49, IFI60, IFIT4, IRG2, ISG60, P60, RIG-G, and CIG-49. IFIT3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
