Anti-Fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FGFR4 in humans. The gene may also be known as CD334, JTK2, TKF, hydroxyaryl-protein kinase, and protein-tyrosine kinase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 88 kilodaltons in mass. The FGFR4 marker can be used to identify Type 1 Alveolar Fibroblast Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
