Anti-Ubc9 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Ubc9 is a known alias name of the protein ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 I, encoded by the UBE2I gene in humans. This 158-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell division and the regulation of transcription, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle, pancreas, kidney, liver, lung, placenta and brain. Other synonyms for Ubc9 include C358B7.1 and P18. Western Blot is the most common application for the Ubc9 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
