Anti-ANKRD49 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ankyrin repeat domain 49. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 239 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is found to be widely expressed in fetus, at a high level in fetal liver, brain and lung. ANKRD49 is known to be involved with cell differentiation and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include GBIF, ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 49, fetal globin-inducing factor, and FGIF. ANKRD49 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ANKRD49 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
