Anti-METAP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein methionyl aminopeptidase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 386 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the Peptidase M24A protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include MetAP1A, methionine aminopeptidase 1, MAP 1, peptidase M 1, and MAP1A. METAP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some METAP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
