Anti-RPS12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein S12. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 132 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Eukaryotic ribosomal protein eS12 protein family, RPS12 is known to be a part of the small subunit (SSU) processome, first precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit. Synonyms for this target antigen include eS12, 40S ribosomal protein S12, small ribosomal subunit protein eS12, and S12. RPS12 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RPS12 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
