Anti-U1RNP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the U1RNP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SNRNP70 gene, which encodes small nuclear ribonucleoprotein U1 subunit 70. This protein is known to function in RNA splicing, among other biological roles. The human version of U1RNP has a canonical amino acid length of 437 residues and a protein mass of 51.6 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include RNPU1Z, RPU1, and SNRP70. Indicated applications for U1RNP antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
