Anti-TRMT13 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tRNA methyltransferase 13 homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 481 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.2 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, thyroid gland, and adrenal gland. A member of the Methyltransferase TRM13 protein family, TRMT13 is reported to be a tRNA methylase, which 2'-O-methylates cytidine(4) in tRNA(Pro) and tRNA(Gly)(GCC), and adenosine(4) in tRNA(His). Synonyms for this target antigen include tRNA:m(4)X modification enzyme TRM13 homolog, coiled-coil domain containing 76, coiled-coil domain-containing protein 76, tRNA [Gm4] methyltransferase, and CCDC76. TRMT13 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These TRMT13 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
