Anti-XTP5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target XTP5 is a known alias name of the protein pumilio RNA binding family member 3, encoded by the PUM3 gene in humans. This 648-amino acid residue protein is reported to inhibit the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation activity of PARP1 and the degradation of PARP1 by CASP3 following genotoxic stress. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types.
