Anti-USA-CYP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the USA-CYP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPIH gene, which encodes peptidylprolyl isomerase H. This protein is known to function in RNA splicing and protein folding, among other biological roles. The human version of USA-CYP has a canonical amino acid length of 177 residues and a protein mass of 19.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CYP-20, CYPH, and SnuCyp-20.
