Anti-ZSCAN17 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ZSCAN17 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ZNF444 gene, which encodes zinc finger protein 444. This protein is known to function in the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of ZSCAN17 has a canonical amino acid length of 327 residues and a protein mass of 35.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, vagina, and adrenal gland. ZSCAN17 is a member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family.
