Anti-TRPP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TRPP1 is a known alias name of the protein polycystin 1, transient receptor potential channel interacting, encoded by the PKD1 gene in humans. This 4303-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the heteromeric calcium-permeable ion channel formed by PKD1 and PKD2 that is activated by interaction between PKD1 and a Wnt family member, such as WNT3A and WNT9B. It is localized to the ER, Golgi, and cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the endometrium and epididymis. Other synonyms for TRPP1 include PBP, PC1, and Pc-1. Indicated applications for TRPP1 antibodies listed below include ELISA.
