Anti-ZIR1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ZIR1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DOCK6 gene, which encodes dedicator of cytokinesis 6. This protein is known to act as guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for CDC42 and RAC1 small GTPases. The human version of ZIR1 has a canonical amino acid length of 2047 residues and a protein mass of 229.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. ZIR1 is a member of the DOCK protein family.
