Anti-TSP4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TSP4 is a known alias name of the protein thrombospondin 4, encoded by the THBS4 gene in humans. This 961-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions and is involved in various processes including cellular proliferation, migration, adhesion and attachment, inflammatory response to CNS injury, regulation of vascular inflammation and adaptive responses of the heart to pressure overload and in myocardial function and remodeling. It is localized to the ER, extracellular matrix, and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the testis, nasopharynx, lung, fallopian tube, and breast. The term TSP-4 is another synonym for TSP4. Indicated applications for TSP4 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
