Anti-TMEM230 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 230. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 120 amino acid residues and a mass of 13.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the TMEM134/TMEM230 protein family, TMEM230 is known to be involved in trafficking and recycling of synaptic vesicles. The TMEM230 gene has been associated with the disease, Parkinson disease. Synonyms for this target antigen include HSPC274, dJ1116H23.2.1, UPF0414 transmembrane protein C20orf30, and C20orf30. TMEM230 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of TMEM230 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
