Anti-Ves-1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Ves-1 antigen is another term for the human protein homer scaffold protein 1, encoded by the HOMER1 gene. The protein is known to function in chemical synaptic transmission and the transport of ions, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 354 residues and a mass of 40.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and it is expressed in the kidney, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. The Ves-1 protein is a member of the Homer protein family. Other alias names for Ves-1 include HOMER, HOMER1A, and HOMER1B.
