Anti-TXLN antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The TXLN antigen is another term for the human protein taxilin alpha, encoded by the TXLNA gene. The protein is suspected to be involved in intracellular vesicle traffic and potentially in calcium-dependent exocytosis in neuroendocrine cells. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 546 residues and a mass of 61.9 kilodaltons. It is widely expressed in many tissue types. The TXLN protein is a member of the Taxilin protein family.
