Anti-STHM antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the STHM antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ST6GALNAC2 gene, which encodes ST6 N-acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 2. This protein is known to function in protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of STHM has a canonical amino acid length of 374 residues and a protein mass of 41.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. Other names for this target antigen include SAITL1, SIAT7, and SIAT7B.
