Anti-PPL7 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PPL7 is a known alias name of the protein neuropeptide B, encoded by the NPB gene in humans. This 125-amino acid residue protein is suspected to be involved in the regulation of feeding, neuroendocrine system, memory, learning and in the afferent pain pathway. The protein is secreted and features post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed in the central nervous system.
