Anti-SIAT7 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The SIAT7 antigen is another term for the human protein ST6 N-acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 2, encoded by the ST6GALNAC2 gene. The protein is known to catalyze the transfer of N-acetylneuraminyl groups onto glycan chains in glycoproteins. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 374 residues and a mass of 41.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and it is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle, heart, kidney, placenta, lung and leukocytes. The SIAT7 protein is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 29 protein family.
