Anti-Scara1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Scara1 is a known alias name of the protein macrophage scavenger receptor 1, encoded by the MSR1 gene in humans. This 451-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and cellular localization, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the spleen, placenta, lung, and bone marrow. Other synonyms for Scara1 include CD204 and CD204. Flow Cytometry is the most common application for the Scara1 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
